Level Two Snow Emergency At Noon, Here's The Latest.

Map Courtesy of Ryan Hanrahan at NBC-30.
All of the maps have come into alignment and we are looking at a rare October snowstorm. We do expect upwards of 10" of snow in Danbury, I suspect we may get more than that if everything comes together. The City of Danbury has declared a Level 2 Snow Emergency effective at noon. Please move cars off of the street, the Patriot Garage will be open.

We are very concerned about power loss so stock up on supplies now.. We are expecting wind gusts close to 60 mph tonight, that will take down a lot of trees.

Our EOC is monitoring, I will keep you updated as the day progresses.

Danbury Rated 5th Best City In Connecticut!

Did anybody catch the last issue of Connecticut Magazine? Danbury has been rated as the 5th best city in Connecticut with populations over 50,000.

The list ranks cities by crime, education, library spending, recreation, and economy.

Our city is rated higher than Norwalk, Stratford, Bristol, Middletown, New Haven, and Hartford to name just a few.

The Hat City is only eclipsed by Greenwich, Fairfield, West Hartford, and Stamford.

Pretty lofty company..
